The 2020 UB Physician Assistant (PA) cohort is the third graduating class to individually achieve a 100% first-time pass rate on the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). UB\u2019s five-year average for first-time taker pass rate is a healthy 99%, above the national average for first-time pass rates of 96%.<\/p>\n

I am extremely proud of the quality students who graduate from UB’s PA program. I hear time and again that our graduates perform at a high level while completing their clinical hours and are well prepared when they step into their professional role,\u201d said Lauren Weindling, program director of the\u00a0Physician Assistant Institute<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The\u00a0PA program<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at the 越南直播 has graduated nearly 300 healthcare professionals since its launch in 2011. The number of PAs in healthcare has grown at a significant pace and are in high demand. Many aspiring healthcare professionals are drawn to the PA profession as a result of its versatility, positive job outlook, and the ability to collaborate with other healthcare providers. PAs can practice throughout the country, improving quality and access to health care.<\/p>\n

Within six months of graduation, over 98% of UB graduates report they have obtained employment. UB PA alumni work in a variety of clinical practices, including family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry, urgent care, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology and critical care.<\/p>\n

Recent PA graduates will provide quality and compassionate care both in and out of state. Students of the 2020 graduating class have secured employment at well-known hospital systems throughout the country, including Stamford Health, Hartford Healthcare, Yale New Haven Health, Johns Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n

The program\u2019s mission is to develop clinicians with dedication to patients, a commitment to lifelong education, respect for the profession, a global perspective on healthcare, volunteerism as a professional core value, and an integrative approach to practice for the benefit of patients. UB PA students have had the opportunity to travel abroad to Peru and Guatemala, expanding their understanding of global health through hands-on experience. Students also participate in numerous volunteer activities while completing their program at UB.<\/p>\n
