Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Chart your path to a nursing career with UB’s RN program
Nurses are vital members of a healthcare team, acting as healthcare managers and patient advocates, and serving as a voice for patients and their families experiencing acute and chronic health conditions. When you earn your associate degree in Nursing at UB, you’ll become equipped to provide person-centered, evidence-based nursing care to people from all walks of life.
越南直播’s RN program offers a clear, structured pathway toward becoming a registered nurse (RN). Through hands-on clinical experiences and expert instruction from UB’s School of Nursing faculty, you’ll build the knowledge and skills needed to provide care in a wide variety of healthcare settings — from hospitals and doctors’ clinics to rehabilitation centers and schools. With an emphasis on interprofessional healthcare, you’ll develop the communication skills, critical thinking, reasoning, and clinical judgment necessary to act as a liaison between patients, their families, and their healthcare team.
RNs in Connecticut earn strong starting salaries and remain in high demand across healthcare settings. With a clear pathway to licensure, you can move efficiently from education to career — helping you start earning sooner and begin making a difference sooner.
Balancing work, life, and education
UB’s flexible RN program is designed to fit into your busy life. With three cohorts beginning each year, UB offers more opportunities to start and move forward, helping you avoid long delays that can happen at programs with limited annual enrollment. Additionally, Nursing classes are offered 2-3 evenings per week, and clinicals include day, evening, and weekend options, allowing you to earn your degree in a way that works best for you. Earning your associate degree in Nursing will provide you with the secure financial future you and your family deserve.
At UB, you can earn your Nursing degree in as few as 20 months part time.** Once you complete your coursework, you will need to pass the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) to become a licensed RN. With a dependable path to licensure, you can stay on track toward becoming a registered nurse and begin your career without unnecessary delays.
Explore the role of a professional nurse
During your time in the RN program, you’ll work in UB’s Skills and Simulation Center and clinical settings throughout the greater Bridgeport area. You’ll explore your identity as a nurse, learning about the critical role nurses play in patients’ healthcare plans and creating a culture of safety. These hands-on experiences will provide you with opportunities to practice your nursing skills, incorporating safe and appropriate use of the nursing process and patient care technology.
