Transfer your college credits to UB

We can help! When you apply to UB, we will evaluate your official transcripts and help you determine which of your credits transfer in.

When transferring to UB, we accept:

  • A maximum of 66 credits from accredited two-year institutions
  • A maximum of 90 credits from accredited four-year institutions

To complete your degree, you must complete your final 30 credit hours at Ô½ÄÏÖ±²¥ while satisfying all the requirements of your academic program.

Transfer admission FAQ

For most programs, a completed application and all supporting materials must be received by:

  • August 1 for programs beginning in the fall
  • December 15 for programs beginning in the spring

Deadline exceptions:

Teacher certification and internship programs:
  • June 15 for the fall semester
  • November 15 for the spring semester
Counseling MS and Educational Leadership Ed.D.:
  • May 1 for priority consideration, August 1 (final deadline) for the fall semester
  • October 1 for priority consideration, December 15 (final deadline) for the spring semester

No — there is no fee to apply to Ô½ÄÏÖ±²¥.

Yes — UB offers scholarships for transfer students, and many are automatically considered at the time of admission.

Academic scholarships are available to transfer students seeking an associate or a bachelor’s degree. All awards are renewable yearly based on satisfactory academic achievement and good standing at Ô½ÄÏÖ±²¥. The University provides merit-based scholarships for transfer students up to $23,000.

  • Trustee Transfer Scholarship $23,000
  • Presidential Transfer Scholarship $20,000
  • Provost’s Transfer Scholar Award $17,000
  • Dean’s Achievement Scholarship $15,000
