Ô½ÄÏÖ±²¥ through the Health Sciences Postgraduate Education department is offering a postdoctoral program in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.

K. Jeffrey Miller, DC, MBA, DIANM

Dr. Miller is an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri School of Medicine and a Chiropractic Physician in the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute (MOI). He has been a Doctor of Chiropractic for over 38 years and a chiropractic orthopedist for over 32 years. He is a prolific writer, publishing over 250 articles and 9 books. He also serves as a distinguished columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic. A sought-after speaker in the US and abroad, Dr. Miller has presented over 300 postgraduate programs in 34 states and several countries.

Anthony Nicholson, DC, DIANM

Dr. Nicholson is the CEO of Chiropractic Development International (CDI), a global continuing education organisation for practicing chiropractors. CDI currently provides 300 hours of advanced online clinical training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. Dr Nicholson graduated as valedictorian from Macquarie University in Sydney in 1997 and is currently in private practice. He is a board-certified chiropractic neurologist (DACNB), a Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (DIANM) and an expert witness in medicolegal cases.

Nelson Marquina, DC, PhD, MSc

Dr. Marquina is former Senior Scientist at NASA/JSC and Director of Research at Logan University and conducts seminars in laser photobiomodulation and photobiology. He has served on the faculties of the University of Houston as Assistant Professor (Systems Engineering), University of Rhode Island as Associate Professor (Electrical Engineering), and Virginia State University as Associate Professor (Physics). Dr. Marquina authored Energy Medicine: Focus on Lasers, numerous book chapters, journal articles and conference presentations in spinal biomechanics, pain relief and tissue regeneration, laser biophysics, and in artificial intelligence.

Robert McKnight, DC, DIANM

Dr. McKnight has been practicing Chiropractic medicine for 25 years. He is a Diplomat of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and is a clinician educator for the Ô½ÄÏÖ±²¥ in the post doctorate department. He lectures for the university on regenerative medicine and injection therapies. He is a committee member of the American Chiropractic Association’s Council on Chiropractic Orthopedists. He served as Clinic Director at a multispecialty spine care center and has well over 10,000 hours of direct clinical training with Pain Management Physicians, Family Medicine Doctors, and Orthopedic Spine Surgeons.

Jeffrey (JJ) Fuller, BS

Mr. Fuller is Co-Founder of Peptide 180, a company dedicated to advancing practitioner education regarding peptide protocols, biomarker-guided wellness strategies, musculoskeletal rehabilitation support, sports recovery applications, regenerative medicine concepts, and healthy aging initiatives. A frequent speaker for healthcare professionals, Mr. Fuller provides education on peptide integration strategies, biomarker testing, practice implementation, patient education, and emerging research related to peptides and longevity-focused wellness programs.

Harlan Pyes, MS

Mr. Pyes earned a Master of Science degree from Syracuse University in Exercise Physiology in 1982, and then went on to work in a private Cardiac Rehabilitation facility. It was there that he had the responsibility of conducting cardiac stress tests, as well as administering exercise training programs for a wide variety of post-cardiac incident patients. He is a long-time member of the American College of Sports Medicine. To date Mr. Pyes has over 4 decades of experience serving the Chiropractic and Physical Therapy professions.

Risk Management in Complicated Cases presents the subject of risk management to chiropractic practitioners in a more engaging manner than the typical PowerPoint presentation consisting of lists of dos and don’ts. Diagnostic imaging is stressed as the primary mode of educating the learner.

Advanced Diagnosis and Management of Acceleration Injuries to the Neck and Head (WAD)

Motor vehicle collisions, sporting impacts, workplace accidents and falls can expose patients to significant acceleration–deceleration forces affecting both the cervical spine and the brain. While many individuals recover uneventfully, others develop persistent pain, dizziness, headache, cognitive dysfunction, balance impairment, sensory hypersensitivity and long-term disability. Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of the biomechanics and physics of acceleration injury, including how mechanical forces acting upon the head and neck can initiate a cascade of changes involving pain neurophysiology, sensorimotor control, cervical dysfunction, vestibular impairment and altered movement behaviour. Clinicians will learn to perform a methodical and clinically relevant examination, utilise appropriate outcome measures.

The Neuropathophysiology of WAD and Its Conservative Management

The 2-hour presentation focuses on the neuroinflammatory processes and mechanisms underlying whiplash-associated disorders (WAD) and on the effects of pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF), electrical stimulation, and therapeutic lasers in mitigating clinical symptoms. Central sensitization, cervical proprioceptive disruption, and sympathetic dysregulation are pathognomonic of long-term WAD. Fortunately, we have physical and cognitive diagnostic and therapeutic tools to assess and manage the patient’s pathophysiological status.

Introduction to Regenerative Medicine Injections for Chiropractic Specialists

This course will discuss the role of chiropractic specialists in regenerative medicine, the common regenerative medicine injections performed by chiropractic specialists, and reviews in detail two types of injections: myofascial trigger point injections and perineural injection therapy.

Shockwave Therapy: History, Research, and Practical Application

While some think Shockwave Therapy is “new”, it has been in use for many years, and recently been getting much more widespread use in the Chiropractic and Physical Therapy professions. Shockwave Therapy is being used for many soft tissue conditions, with great success. This presentation will be a fast-paced approach to allow participants to appreciate its history, learn about the 2 major types of shockwave therapy, delve into the science behind it, and learn practical applications. The goal of this presentation is to help prepare the attendees to attain more effective treatment outcomes.

Integrating BPC 157 Into Chiropractic Wellness

This course provides healthcare and wellness professionals with an evidence-based overview of BPC-157 and its potential applications in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, injury recovery, tissue healing, and regenerative wellness practices. Participants will explore the proposed mechanisms of action, current research findings, safety considerations, and clinical integration strategies. The program emphasizes practical implementation, patient selection, dosing considerations, and ethical and regulatory considerations for professional practice.
