First-year students: Students will be split into groups of 20 or less and walked through the whole program by an Orientation Leader (OL). Our “OL’s” are returning students who are prepared to share information about campus, their experience, and give you advice along the way. We also have a concurrent family orientation for those who wish to accompany their students and get more information about what they can do to support your Purple Knight. You will also have the opportunity to meet with Student Financial Services, Student Academic Success, and get familiar with campus technology.

Your $200 Orientation Fee covers the cost of both Orientation and Welcome Week and is added to your first semester tuition. All new students pay this fee, regardless of whether they attend Orientation.

Welcome Week is a series of events held the five days prior to classes starting where the University plans events and activities to get you acclimated, meet faculty, feel settled and ready for the semester.
